Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Linda Little Wolf currently resides in Ocala, Florida. She has been an enthusiastic collector of Native American art and artifacts for the past two decades. Ms. Little Wolf enjoys sharing her proud heritage of Cherokee and Lakota Sioux with audiences of all ages. She has rapidly become one of the foremost educators and lecturers on Plains Indian history, culture, folklore, art, and horsemanship.

Her ancestors shared their lives with the horse, and Linda Little Wolf’s life is no different. She is often accompanied by her loyal companion and educational partner, a handsome paint horse appropriately named Enough Stuff. He has become an essential part of her lectures, allowing her to demonstrate traditional horsemanship skills while describing the physical and spiritual role that the horse played in the lives of North America’s nomadic tribes. Their growing recognition has introduced them to the world of television; they recently appeared in a Ford commercial. Wearing elaborate Plains Indian regalia, this dynamic duo has appeared in schools, colleges, museums, and horse fairs throughout the United States. Ms. Little Wolf has also appeared at equine events in many foreign countries.

Since 1992, Linda Little Wolf has been an active participant in the Florida Horse and Agricultural Festival. In her role as committee member, she has lectured, choreographed, and performed in evening shows and coordinated the Parades of Breeds, the equine performances, and the Youth Pavilion.

Great Spirit Horse is also available as a collectible model from Breyer Animal Creations.

Horses were an important part of their nomadic existence and inspired many Native American myths. The greatest of these was Sunka Wakan, the blue-eyed spotted stallion who possessed great powers. Linda Little Wolf presents the legend of Sunka Wakan, the Great Spirit Horse, as an exciting tale of life on the Great Plains, retold especially for young readers. Great Spirit Horse is available as a collectible model from Breyer Animal Creations.
