Spirit Wolf, the second novel in The last Sheep Eater series takes you deep into the mystical realms of the Mountain Shoshone’s world of spirit animals, shapeshifters, and the powerful Toyawo, the spirit of the magnificent Wind River Mountains. Jim is a wise but aging mountain man who has been living with Red Eagle’s band of Mountain Shoshone high in the winds. They had saved his life, and during his mending time he had fallen in love with the young medicine woman tending to him. He ends up accompanying the young Tukadika Puhagant on her quest to find the paint rocks and recover the lost memories of her people, ensuring that there lives would have meaning and they would never be forgotten.
