Description
A true story of a Navajo family in the 1930s. When white Juanita marries a Navajo man and is taken to New Mexico to live with his family, she must learn to cook on the central fire pit in the hogan, care for sheep and horses, adapt to the lack of funds, and welcome the many friendly neighbors constantly dropping by. She is the first white woman most of the children have seen. This is a story of true love and achievement as she and Luciano build their own lifestyle, but also a story of struggle and tragedy.
