This Cursed Valley

This is a gripping epic of the American West that beautifully captures a sense of place. There is clearly a deep connection between the author and the valley he so richly describes. I really love how the place becomes a character in the book as real as the generations who live on its pages. It’s especially delightful how Meredith weaves encounters with real historic characters throughout the life of Will Martin, the fictitious hero. Meredith’s story-telling ability will have you reading late into the night. I suspect a trip to the Crystal Valley of Colorado where this is set will end up on the bucket lists of any who read this great story.
